Yo bud. What do you think about this match? Any strategy you want to go with?

Some really depends on what other people pick. I forget quite how it played out last season - gonna check the old forum to jog my memory.
Ideal scenarios... either you/I win, or Pete/Than win for our respective roles. Or I win and Than wins, or Pete wins and you win. Basically, so Pete and I both get the token of life, and the Death Match is Adam vs. Nyx. Worst case scenario... that same logic, but with Nyx, Adam, and their partners.
Nyx would usually be more likely to block me, as she's been gunning for me since around round 2, and I eliminated her closest ally a couple rounds back (kind of pulled a Mets and purposely lost/went to the Death Match to do it, so it wasn't especially subtle). However, Pete pissed her off last round. So he might be fresh in her mind.
Seeing what Nyx and Adam do early in the game will help figure out how to counter it. Pete and I are at the end, which should give us that advantage. You and Than are after Nyx/Adam, so we should be getting a good sense of their strategy by seeing what Javi and Malachai do.
You won the whole game last season, so if you have any ideas, that would be great - if you tied with Pete in this challenge (bearing in mind Pete, Adam, and I were all working as 1 for Pete's win), you'd have better ideas than I would. I think the general strategy last time was for people working together to overlap one character, then separate their other characters. I asked Mas to set-up a board with us/Than/Pete, but ideally going into that already having some general idea.

Okay, I think I understand. So best case scenario would be if our team and Pete/Than are both safe.
I don't quite remember very well what happened with this game last season, but my strategy was to choose one character that I thought would be popular (zombie, I think?) and one that I didn't think a lot of people would choose (Gumiho). We'll have to see where it goes, but a lot of the time, it's easier to settle for the 2 space spot. In terms of choosing our characters, I don't know what you want to do. I didn't work with a team for this match last season. Would it be better for us to have similar characters or different ones? We need two of us to win, so it might make sense to choose similar ones, but we don't want to leave a lot of the ones we don't choose in the pool.

Yeah, the 3 space, if I remember correctly, barely moved at all. Everyone seemed to pan characters they couldn't use to the 1, and try to move with the 3 (with everyone doing that and blocking each other). I also think we used that to our advantage and made it look like we were panning a character to the 1, secretly to move it.
Your strategy of 1 popular character and 1 less popular character could work with a group. Either 1 character shared between all four, or 2 characters split between all four (likely cross-over with Nyx/Adam/etc). Then one unique character each, and play that unique character as secretly as possible. Sharing one means that, even though there are fewer chips, there are more people trying to use it. I'm hoping Adam isn't completely swayed to Nyx, or is at least trying to play both sides, and will tell either Pete or I - that's the main thing I'm hoping for and trying to hold off until then. If you need to pick sooner, that's fine - I'm sure everyone can structure themselves around that.
The ideal strategy, imo, would be to pick one character that Nyx and/or Adam have, and split that between one main player and one partner - so if Adam/Nyx move, so do we. And then another character that will liked be panned, and have it move slowly but surely without much risk of being blocked. Just hoping to get a better sense of what those characters are before choosing. lol

And bingo. It would appear Adam chose zombie and mummy, and asked Javi to choose 2 others. I assume that's reliable - Adam seems to have mentally checked out more than anything.
If we can't manage to coordinate this, your strategy worked last time, so I'd say just do your thing and go for the win if you're most comfortable with that. I can help back up you and Pete as needed.
I asked Mas what happens if a player loses, but their guest wins (what happens to that token of life?). Could prove useful information.
lol! And again, thank you for this. This game is fun, but can be a headache. I appreciate you helping out.

Gotcha! So we should pick one of zombie and mummy and pick one other to move slowly do you think? If Javi is picking different ones from Adam, then we're likely to pick one of Javi's too though. I'll wait to see what Pete and Than think. I'm sure we'll figure out a gameplan.
And you're welcome again! I had fun the first time around and I'm happy to help.
