Ha! It's kind of nice putting some reality to that game. Early on I was trying hard to avoid words I often use, and trying to avoid commas (which gnawed at me). Your syntax can be very recognizable at times, and definitely the spaces before punctuation. Reading the episodes, and hearing what people said earlier... I find it so funny that everyone was like, "omg! Dodger and Woody are tight! Dodger and Woody have an alliance!" Meanwhile, I'm all like, "Woody terrifies me - he talks to everyone. How do I wiggle into his good graces until I'm able to evict him, so it doesn't blow up on me?" . Funny seeing all of these disparate perceptions/gameplays, but slowly merging in the episodes. I suspected who you were early on, and originally wanted to work with you. But then we started talking less, I talked to Gaston a lot, and I wasn't sure if it was really you or someone imitating you (I thought John pretending to be you, briefly). When you were evicted, Kathy mentioned the Internet issues, which I already knew you were having internet issues, and I was like, fuuuuucccckkkk. Ha, sorry. Fun game, though.

No worries, I knew as soon as the internet issues cropped up that my time in the game was limited. Woody was all over the shop! He was talking to anybody who would listen to him, opening rooms left right and center, then when you saved him from the block and nominated me and mulan in the very next HoH (this was shortly after woody proposes a 4-strong team of dodger/woody/boo/mulan) , mulan and I strongly felt like we had been shafted with a spiky pole lol. To be fair, it was shortly after that, that I realised it was you I was actually enjoying that game, there wasn't too much drama, and the challenges were varied enough (I actually gave Woody the answers for his HoH win lol) I think I need to start using fewer words in conversations. Perhaps maybe even "simpler" words? Jesse got in touch last week, proposing a 3 person alliance in a game...I replied : "Ah, a machiavellian triumvirate! Sounds marvelous!" . The reply I got was a simple " I have no idea what that means..."

P.S My last diary entry as I left the game was: "lmao at Dodger/Gaston/Olaf" running the show"

Ha! Hearing about the alliance was so funny. I'm like, "er, why wasn't I filled in on this?" No one even invited me to that alliance... Mulan just PM'd me after I won HOH, and was like, "I talked to Woody, and the 3 of us are working together now". That was the first time she'd ever PM'd me, too. I'm thinking, "oh, hello person I've never talked to but apparently have been in an alliance with!" heh. I did actually ask Woody about that (Kathy posted the full conversation - only time Mulan was ever mentioned, I think - in the latest episode). Truly (I'm not vying for votes now), neither of them ever mentioned you to me at all. And I was already planning the nominations when Mulan PM'd me/had already mentioned it to Lady (which might be why Mulan PM'd me). The nominations were for the reason I said (I'd never talked to Mulan, and you and I hadn't talked for a couple rounds prior), except Scott was my actual target (he, too, came out of the woodwork and was my best friend/ally the moment I won)... and whatever went on with Woody was really just a coincidence. Funny coincidence, though (and ultimately helpful for me). Ha! I gave Woody the answers, too - but he said you're the one who pressured him into sending. He must've felt so secure, with 2 people giving him the answers to the challenge. Amazing how important Woody was in those early stages. It was a fun game and low drama... no real fights. Mulan moped and barely showed up the last few rounds, but otherwise it was easy-going. Cherry actually told me you were aligned with Jesse in the game (had to check right now to make sure Mas wasn't in the game...), and my response was, "wtf???" Should be interesting. I've just been ignoring him the past few weeks (I keep meaning to write to him, then I see he's sent me another angry message, so I don't bother). Anyway, as for THIS game... Mas changed the order - well, really just flipped Rachael and me. Not sure why the order changed at all... bah! I'm hoping she volunteers to go earlier - I really want to see her cards before I do anything.

Also... you should definitely do a 2nd season of Wacky Races. I'd play it this time - looking at the forum, it looked like a lot of fun. Seems relatively lowkey, too.

Well that was a bit of a surprise!! I would say Rachael is NOT part of Adam's breakaway group...I now strongly suspect that I will be chosen for the death match. Adam and nyx will have tokens, which leaves me you and misty as candidates. I am favourite to be chosen I fear.
A for Wacky Races, making up the questions/puzzles etc is easy, even if it is time consuming, but I feel the way the racers moves with the map etc in the first season was not that great, so I'm trying to figure out an improved dynamic. Also not sure if I should make it available for teams of 2 players...perhaps it would be better to have players on their own, with the option of rooms available for them to make alliances etc. I'll mull it over and come up with something. I'm gonna take a break from games, I've been playing in too many recently, so not signing up for anything else. I said I would judge Misty's new idol game, but thats it for the foreseeable future.

Yeah. Rachael's deck shocked me. In that case, it would appear Adam bought more decks. Perhaps he was trying to get his garnet count down. But now, Nyx's deck should be incredible. If Nyx wants to be stubborn and hold off on her turn, I'm perfectly fine with that. I'll be around on Saturday at 11:58 to take my turn the last minute. Alliances, rather than pairs, would be interesting, but it would also very much change the game. Not saying that's good or bad, but it would certainly change it. And yeah, over-committing can be problematic. There was a period I was judging 4 or 5 Idol games, while playing The Genius, and being suckered into NatKat. It gets to be too much and can drive you mad. For a while I've been considering 2 games: 1.) a bracketed music "invitational challenge", where rather than having a panel of judges, the players in the game vote on their favorite in each pairing - everyone is matched against everyone else in their respective division, and highest win totals go to the play-offs, then the finals. All song of choice, all posted with the players in each bracket kept anonymous. 2.) A Survivor game, but every challenge will be based on a classic board game/card game: Candyland, Loteria, poker, Monopoly, etc... Modified and/or abridged versions of each game, of course. For example, Candyland, but rather than draw a card for your own move, you choose someone else's next move (ie: you can easily win as an alliance, but show your hand as an alliance - but someone else can block the person you're trying to have win, etc...). Or Loteria, but with the goal for everyone creating their own board and ending when everyone gets 4 in a row, then the winner being determined by the different factors: uniqueness of the cards they chose for their 4 in a row, with different groups of images having different point totals, etc... Hosting something like that seems so daunting, though. Maybe when I'm done with The Genius/any other games.

The first game idea is interesting, but with the best of intentions with regards to keeping players anonymous, I'm afraid it won't stop them from colluding and tell each other their songs before they judge. The second one would certainly add a bit of spice to the usual survivor theme, I have to admit that I am not familiar with 2 of those games lol, I had to look them up! I noticed that Jesse is up to his usual shenanigans in Cherry's game lol. I wanted to clarify, yes I am in an alliance with him, but that's only a "safety net", my true allegiance is with another player There is one point I would make about the judging though, and while I understand that we all have different tastes, the actual judging criteria should be a constant...what I mean by that is that the game is called "Hot Girl BB", and some of the judges seem to be marking for "pretty" or "charm" etc... Jess for example, made some comments about a couple of pictures where the girl is pretty or attractive, but not HOT. Then when it comes to Grace Kelly, she says "Kelly is my fave <333 She was so classy and beautiful. I can't say anything bad about this. Good pic! " , no consistency whatsoever! I think your comments about the pic I sent in were spot on! I'm not syaing I should have come first, to be fair, Andre's pick was also an excellent choice

Ha! Jesse is just looking for a reaction. Not-so-curiously, he sent me another message, too. A message which I won't read because, as a non-host, I don't need to read it. heh. He needs to let it go and start focusing on his imaginary family. I admit it can be difficult to stay consistent, especially when judging pictures by some fixed criteria. "Hot" is so subjective, and something so vague that can easily be confused with any other form of attractiveness. I've been trying to look at each picture for the picture submitted, and have even scored some pictures higher for "hotness" despite thinking some of the girls, in less-hot pictures, were actually more attractive, but... it's not an exact science. I've noticed this in Kathy's "WTF Idol", too; having judged last season, I know it can be difficult to separate wtf-ness and just overall enjoyment/humor. There's no way a regular looking car with a vaguely penis-shaped front is more "wtf" than many of the submissions, but a penis-shaped car is funny, so ultimately scored higher than most. That said, I admit Jess isn't my favorite judge. Also, I think men and women are prone to judging a woman's attractiveness by different criteria, anyway - perhaps for obvious reasons, so fair enough (based on comments, I'd wager Mets and I have been using "bangability" as a factor, an perhaps mocking ourselves for it a bit... but can't really expect Jess and Cherry to judge with that in mind, ya know?). But I think Jess might go a little extreme with that; it's pretty clear she's given very low scores to some that every other judge has scored high, and her high and low may have the widest range each round - well, most rounds, when I'm not pissed someone sent Grace Kelly and that whole debate was all for naught. And let me guess... Eric?

I agree with you that the term "hot" can be interpreted in many ways, but consistency should still be important. As I'm sure you are aware, I'm a huge fan of Audrey Hepburn, but I would never class her as "hot"! An unbelievable amount of charm, elegance, charm and beauty...certainly! In my opinion, "hot" is related to sex-appeal...The likes of Ava Gardner / Raquel Welch / Jane Russell / Brigitte Bardot / Sophia Loren / Kim Novak / Ann-Margret / Claudia Cardinale / Janet Leigh /Gina Lollobrigida / (not sure I spelled that one right lol). Girls like Audrey Hepburn / Grace Kelly / Vivien Leigh / Katherine Hepburn / Ingrid Bergman / Lauren Bacall are different. The first kind are the ones you'd take to a motel room, the second kind are the ones you'd bring home to meet your mum Jesse, unfortunately, cannot understand that people have different tastes...and even if he does, he simply thinks that all players should admit that his opinion is the only that matters lol. It'll be interesting to see if Andre is true to his word! I think if David had submitted this picture of Hedy Lamarr, his score would have been higher www.tabladeflandes.com/zenon2006/fotos/Hedy-Lamarr_337.jpg

When I first saw Roman Holiday, I was in love with Audrey Hepburn. Still am, really. She's beautiful. But yeah... her "sex appeal" compared to some girl with a coke bottle figure and perfect hips/ass, big lips, wavy long hair, and a suggestive pose? No contest. Greta Garbo is another... imo, she's one of the most beautiful women of all time - she looks like a work of art... completely stunning. But also kind of mannish, and certainly sexless. Compared to Bardot, who's firmly in the "would bang" territory... no contest. That said, I actually think Lauren Bacall is sexy. I think her appeal goes far beyond sex-appeal, of course... but her look and demeanor, while not all that revealing or immediately sexual, is seductive in a tit-for-tat way. Which I guess seems inconsistent, per my usual standards for "hot"... but sometimes a unique combination of traits make that so. Hedy Lamarr is interesting, because as I was looking up pictures of her, I realized she's far better in motion. Her role in "Ecstasy", for example, or even more toned down in "Algiers"... hard to deny her sex appeal. But some pictures... I think this picture, if not revealing, is decidedly "hot" in a proto-Monica Bellucci way: Time magazine coverAndre's nominations are no shock to me, but I'm going strictly by what's been posted publicly. Cherry and I actually haven't talked about the dynamics of the game, aside from you and Jesse aligning (because that was funny... heh). And despite what Jesse thinks, I'm not controlling anything - I gave Cherry a list of about a dozen themes, because she hadn't planned a theme and wanted ideas... The Hollywood theme she chose wasn't even one of my first choices, just the one she liked the most in that moment. EDIT: Wow. Adam's re-do really tanked him. Damn. That's the danger of the random shuffle. There's a chance you'll win. At least with Rachael's score I just need something positive. Even 0 wouldn't lose. Also, just to say in advance so there's no shock: I ended up trading my last 2 greens with Misty for 1 basic deck 7 (I figured it didn't really give her much of an advantage/she only knew 2 of her cards), and then also threw in a 6, to keep my throwaways as low as possible.

Well, it's like you suspected, Nyx ended up with all the green 10s etc. Looking at the garnet count, looks like nyx bought a green and 2 blue sets. I imagine that Rachael will now pick me for the death match...let's hope it's one of the good games, and not that picture combination game. If I make it through, we'll have to recruit Misty. Adam's offer to give you the token of life was a strange one. If he really wanted to do that, he could have just told Nyx. As it is, it's just "a show", unless I'm reading everything wrong lol. Today's my day off, so off to watch "The Goonies" ! It was one of the clips I had to judge in Misty's game and it made me want to watch it again lol, it's been a while, but i think it's one of those films that allows "repeated viewings" no matter what

I'm thinking he's picked up on the silence (which wasn't intentional, just didn't know what else to add) and offered it for show. People have tried to give away the 2nd token of life before, and Mas always says no. I was going to congratulate Nyx and add, "it looks like you got most of my greens, too"... but figured it's best to let that go.
If it's the picture combination game, I don't imagine Rachael will do what Nyx did (though, sad as I was to see Cherry leave while Nyx stayed, couldn't really blame Nyx for that strategy - it was a good one). It looks like Mas isn't repeating Death Matches this game (he may in the finals, of course), so it should be something new. I'm thinking Rachael will either choose you or Misty - hopefully Misty, but like a BB/Survivor game (if Rachael is secretly playing it like that), pressuring people can backfire. I don't think they talk much, though - so probably Misty. Either way, I think the odds are in your favor.
I'm about to judge Misty's game right now. Enjoy the day off/Goonies!

That was unexpected! Also quite spooky that I predicted the next main match lol. The main thing to take into account is that Nyx has the most garnets.
If you look at the Board, you'll see that round 11 is a "mystery". In fact, it's a cube with "11" on it, which players will be able to use their garnets and bid for. What it means is that any player who owns that cube will basically be able to buy any tile of his choice (since his cube cannot be beaten or equaled) without any player able to do anything to stop him/her
Round 1 - "1"
Round 2 - "2"
Round 3 - "3"
Round 4 - "4"
Round 5 - "5"
Round 6 - "6"
Round 7 - "+"
Round 8 - "x"
Round 9 - "-"
Round 10 - "÷"
Round 11 - MYSTERY
Round 12 - "1 x"
Round 13 - "2 x"
Round 14 - "3 +"
Round 15 - "4 +"
Round 16 - "8 ÷"
Round 17 - "10 ÷"
Round 18 - "6 -"
Round 19 - "+"
Round 20 - "10"
So, if for example Nyx bids and wins round 5, and gets "5" , if she then gets the mystery cube, then nothing can stop her from getting the tile in round 13 "2x" , enabling her to make 2x5=10 and winning the game.

That's a little annoying, considering the way she game about the garnets. Had it even been proportional (ie: in the MM, she won 5 and I won 2), I won 4 or 5 garnets, this would've gone smoother. Or if Rachael just played the Death Match.
So it's basically a matter of keeping her from anything that could too easily form an equation that equals 10. And multiple tiles can't form more than 9, right? Leaving 10 as the trump card before the mystery round. I've asked Mas if we can trade cubes - enabling us to form higher numbers between us. Ideally, keep her from even being able to successfully use the 11 cube even if she gets it. But worst case scenario, we could do a garnet trade.
