Thanks for agreeing to play!
And welcome to The Genius Season 2.
Just some questions before the game starts:
1) Why do you sign up for the game?
2) What do you think about having a mix of people who have played and who have not in the game?
3) Do you think you will be able to do well?
4) For those first-timers, did you look at the previous season and what do you expect will be in this season?
5) For returning players, what is your strategy this time in the game?
6) Anybody who you might think of working together with?
7) What are your chances at being the winner?

1) Why do you sign up for the game?
The first season was a lot of fun. The challenges are great and involved... I love challenges, but hate first-to-answer challenges in a lot of Survivor/BB games. The format is great and low drama (perhaps without actively voting people out, or maybe the cast) - there were no real arguments, extending to outside of the game, over the game. It's a cool way to work with people in a way that, while it may involve some deception, isn't full of backstabbing and that balancing act. And you did a great job of hosting it... I think with the 2nd season, both you and returning players will have a better handle on it (there's definitely a learning curve), so it should be fun to see what happens.
2) What do you think about having a mix of people who have played and who have not in the game?
I'm interested to see what will happen. Lukas mentioned he'd read the previous season, so obviously knows Pete/Switza/I not only played the game before, but worked together. Which potentially kind of makes us targets, whether we work together again or not. I kind of like that... puts pressure on us (be it together or individually) from the beginning. Adds a dynamic to the game before the game even starts, but still within in the game. I think it'll be interesting with that mix.
3) Do you think you will be able to do well?
Maybe. I assume the matches will be different, so some of that depends on my ability to figure them out - what I can figure out and what I can't. With so many new players, and players not from IMDb, it's tough to suss where lines are drawn and what everyone's strengths and weaknesses are... which is fun. In a way, it means people who haven't played know more about me than I know about them, which could make it more difficult for me but also more fun. Winning is always the goal, but really, it's about playing and the fun of it. Hopefully I stay long enough to really get to play, whether I win or not. That's the main goal right now.
4) For those first-timers, did you look at the previous season and what do you expect will be in this season?
N/A
5) For returning players, what is your strategy this time in the game?
Probably try to be more methodical. Last game, I relied a lot on my alliance, Pete and Switza. I'd still gladly work with them this game, but maybe make the effort to guard myself a little better, to not make big/stupid moves when something goes wrong (when one is eliminated, should one go before me). Last game I complained about that a lot and constantly said that's what I needed to do, but didn't really do anything about it.
6) Anybody who you might think of working together with?
Pete and Adam would be great, if they're up for it (seems Pete already started), but I understand if that's too transparent (or if someone just wants a change) and one strays a bit. Misty/Brady is another... I enjoy working with her in games. I'm curious about some new players, too, and we'll see what happens. Years ago, on a different forum, I knew this kid who went by Bears&Booze... from the Philippines, but probably more aware of/invested in American culture than I was/am. Loved that kid. Lukas tentatively reminds me of a him a little, so I'd like to try talking to him.
7) What are your chances at being the winner?
No clue. I'll answer that when I can. heh.

Ha, deja vu.
Can I get one-on-one rooms with the rest of 'em, too? Tara, Cherry, Sam, Nyx, Rachael (Rachel?) when she re-joins?

Also with the old players?

Yes. But I already have all of those open (keep them). Basically, just so I have a one-on-one board with everyone in the game. Much easier, without PMs.

Thank you for the boards.
New question: Where are the avatars?
Nevermind... found them.

Question: If 2 candidates tie, do the chips from both convert to garnets for the people they give them to?
EX: If Pete and I both stay candidates, Adam and Nyx drop out, would that mean that the people I give chips to get garnets AND the people he gives chips to get garnets?
New idea I'd like to address to the "group", as a show of game unity. Effectively, both candidate give 5 people 3 chips each, both candidates keep 5. That way, everyone in the game comes out with garnets. The two winners of the Main Match are tied for 2nd, and whoever wins the Death Match is in 1st (which seems a fair reward for the risk).

If there's a tie for 1st place, whoever has chips for either will get garnets.

I vote for Nyx.
Realistically, I probably could've won this. But Nyx comes on strong, and it seems Adam/Pete are more inclined to want fly under the radar at this point, and pissing off Nyx wouldn't be a good way to do that. She and Lukas will be interesting.

Can you confirm the 3 garnets Nyx gave me (are they mine now?) so I can call her out without risking her taking them back?
