Nyx is definitely in a you 2 vs her and I mentality. I'm good with letting you 2 win and facing her in the death match. I chose zombie and mummy and told Javi to pick 2 others.

I can't remember too much about this match from the previous season, except something about the order etc...I'll try nad go back to the previous game's forum to see. Haven't given it much thought, other than that...but I distinctly remember picking Gumiho as one of my characters , simply because, having never heard of one, I looked it up and found that it was a nine-tailed fox lol. I guess I'll pick that one again for luck, plus another one, don't know which yet!

Hey. Sorry for the silence. I'd been suspecting you were working closer with Nyx than you let on, but the last couple rounds really solidified that. Didn't want to say anything/lie about choices, but also didn't want to give anything away.
Not sure how invested you still are after a month+ long challenge, but I'm down for Death Match brainstorming to help you beat Nyx, if you want the help. It would be cool if we could actually manage to be final 3 this season, as was attempted last season and at least as was intended at the start of this season.

I was always 100% behind this alliance. The only reason I helped Nyx is because she kept coming to me and it seemed she was more invested in the game than the girls.
But I understand the suspicion.

Pretty straightforward challenge. The problem is it's not just your number vs. their number, but also if their number forms a hand - even if lower than yours.
Tentatively, bluffing is always the best option. But if you make the bluff overt, Nyx will pick up on it. Which you could use to your advantage, of course. If you "bluff" (play it up as a bluff) when you know she has a bad card, she'll see it as not being a bluff, just being cocky. Which means if you can duplicate that exactly when she has a good card, you might actually be able to bluff her.
Also, faking tells tends to work, in my experience. It's more difficult online, since any tell would be just in a line of text and pretty easy to spot when the same things "accidentally" keep happening, and thus seems contrived. But it could be something as simple as a short comment ("ah, I guess...") with the bet, vs just the bet.
Nyx is smart and pretty mathematical. It was easy enough for me to lead Lukas into a trap, but not sure how easy that'll be with Nyx. Obviously there's a lot more to pay attention to here, too - the individual card itself, and how it plays into a hand. Obviously pay attention to which cards have been played - probably the most important thing when determining what to do.
All of that rambling aside, I'm sure you'll do well. Just try to not make any bluffs seem too obvious (or if they do, a double bluff). Flashbacks to Nat calling you on your opening bluff last time... ha! I guess whatever you try, also be willing to abort mission. And good luck!

Right. I think my strategy was ok last season, just got the worst cards possible to play it out. I can potentially see her becoming impatient if the match draws out too long, and I could use that to my advantage.

Agreed. And yeah, last season you got the worst cards possible every single round. Ha!
And yeah, probably true. draw it out, make it take a long time, and she'll probably lose it. One those "adapt as necessary" challenges, and you'll be fine.
