Yeah, that'll be useful.
Do we have any idea how to organize what we pick? I've been talking it over with Nat a bit... Last time, he played this challenge on his own, without talking it over with anyone. I'm tempted to suggested he do that again, and I can work to buffer you and him, and then just try to not lose in the process.
I'm not sure how to respond to Adam - if he's mentally checked out, or if he's trying to get information. I definitely wouldn't tell him what we pick, though - unless he's actively going to help us win, it could be a disaster. If we tell him, he has information to tell Nyx, and we lose any advantage. If we say nothing and he changes his, we're at a disadvantage, anyway. Either way, it's shooting ourselves in the foot if we rely on that too much.

Argghhh. Even if we get all 3 of the remaining Vampires, we can't move it 2 and 3. With Than putting both Mummies on 3, we'd need - at a minimum - 3 Vampires there to move it. Which is probably moot since Malachai got 1 of them, anyway, and is bound to spoil that plan no matter what. We can probably still move it 2 spaces to the puddle, though. There's also the risk of Zombie moving 1 first and no longer riding with Vampire. Ideally just keep anything else from moving past them, I guess?
We actually might stand a good chance if we also get control over Gumiho - tying up Gumiho and Mummy and having Vampire with the 2nd most. Huh. OK, nevermind me. It's still very possible.

You're thinking about it the wrong way . Firstly, there are 5 vampires, so even though malachai got one, there are still 3 left. And we don't need to put them all on space 3 to win, we just need 1 gumiho to equal with the mummies, then only 1 vampire on space 3 would win the moves . Also, than only had 1 mummy and 2 zombies, he put both zombies on space 1, and 1 mummy on space 3. The most important point of this round was insuring that gumiho didn't win the 1 space....the way things are now, that's a cert. You're right about the zombie winning the 1 move, but I thought it was better than gumiho winning it at this stage. We may still be able to block it though.

Oops... responded to the wrong post/in the wrong thread. Ha, see the other thread.
But yeah, you're right - had Javi not gotten one, or if Mas' random assignment worked in our favor, we would've been set. SO CLOSE! But we should end this with Zombie and Vampire still well in the lead, without risk of Gumiho piggybacking. All in all, went well.

Than skipped once, right? (too lazy to re-read everything)

Hey, Pete. I PM'd you on IMDb, unrelated to this game. No rush, but if you get the chance and feel like signing on (understandable if you don't - I've been kind of blanking IMDb myself), it's there.

Yeah. Nyx's first "all in" was so obviously a bluff, it took everything I had to not send him a message and tell him to match. She also seems to have this strategy or raising the bet a modest amount, making Adam think she's being cautious, then goes all in after he raises (so he has to fold, and lose what he put into it). I think he's picked up on that now... I hope. Some of his folds and other moves have been odd, too - but I keep thinking maybe he's doing that to fake her out and set up a bigger move, but he never does. The lead has gone back and forth, so I still have hope that Adam will win this by Christmas.

Sorry peeps for the Death Match taking so long. Anyway not sure u know of it but there's a new show by the The Genius' producers called Society Game. It seems to have a bit of Survivor/Big Brother. Reviews seem to be good and am waiting for the subbed ep to be up.

I looked it up. Seems interesting - especially the differences between each society/tribe... one is a democracy, one is totalitarian. Should be interesting.

bumdi seems to be subbing it. cos apparently he asked on twitter what's the best english word to translate a korean word. so hopefully it is. apparently the challenge is like a genius-kind of game but watered down so would be interested to see it when it's up

Bumdi has finally finished subbing the 1st ep and it's definitely a cool ep, but it's 2 hours. the challenge is definitely inspired by a kind of genius like challenge. it's really interesting to see how leaders play a role in this, with the 2 different kind of societies. some characters definitely stands out more and interesting to see how it all played out. here's a link. bxrme.tumblr.com/post/152186981508/society-game-subbed

Thanks! I'm curious to see the format in action. Sounds like a more cerebral version of Survivor... should be fun. I might not have time to watch until Tuesday night, but when I do, I'll post about it.
And lol, this challenge is never gonna end. I'm glad Adam's gaining again, though.
