We will now start with our 2nd Finals Match.
The 2nd Finals Match is "Killer vs. Inspector" game.
In this game, you will play one of 2 roles: Killer or Inspector.
There will be 25 characters in this game. I will randomly arrange them in 5 rows by 5 columns.
Below is an example of how it is arranged.

There will be also an evidence deck which consists of these same 25 characters.
The Killer will take their turn first and will be shown on their Confessional page the card that has been taken from the evidence deck. This is their secret identity and they will lose if the Inspector arrested their character.
They will then proceed to kill one of the characters. Basing on the arrangement shown to the players, they need to find their character on that arrangement and kill one character that is surrounding them.
So for example if the Killer is Marion in the above arrangment, they can kill one of the 8 characters that surround her.
The Killer will post on the game thread e.g. "I kill Niel". The Killer's turn ends.
I will then update the arrangment with an "X" besides Niel's name to indicate that Niel is dead.
The Inspector will then take their turn. The Inspector will be shown 4 cards on their Confessional page. They need to choose one character out of the 4 and that will be the Inspector's secret identity. They will keep the other 3 cards as evidence and won't be revealed to the Killer. The Inspector's turn end ends.
The deck at this time will be left with 20 cards and the game then continues alternating turns between the Killer and the Inspector.
During the Killer's turn, they can do one of 3 actions:
"Kill" an adjacent suspect.
"Shift" a row or a column.
"Disguise" their role (or attempt to)
During the Inspector's turn, they can do one of 3 actions:
"Arrest" an adjacent suspect or themself
"Shift" a row or a column.
"Exonerate" a suspect from the deck.
I will now explain what does each action means.
SHIFT ACTION
Both players have the ability to do this. They do not need to be in the particular row or column to move them. They have to indicate whether a column goes up or down and whether a row is moving left to right. The arrangement is Row A is at the top and Row E is at the bottom. Column A will be on the extreme left and Column E will be on the extreme right. So if Column C is shifted up, Marion will be now on Row B instead of Row C. If Row C is shifted right, Marion is now on Column D instead of Column C. I will then post the updated positions of each character.
NOTE: You cannot use your shift to ‘undo’ the previous player’s shift. For example, if a player shifts a row right, the next move cannot be to shift that same row left.
KILL ACTION
The Killer can kill a suspect just like they did on the first turn. They just pick a suspect who is adjacent to their character on the board, and post on the game thread just like on their first turn. Since the Inspector is now one of the suspects, if the Inspector is killed, they reveals their identity and the killer wins! Otherwise, play continues.
ARREST ACTION
The Inspector can arrest a suspect whom they are adjacent to on the board. They may even arrest himself to throw off suspicion. They simply posts on the game thread e.g. "I arrest Marion". I will then post whether he arrested the Killer. If yes, the Inspector wins. Otherwise, play continues.
DISGUISE ACTION
The Killer can disguise themself to throw the Inspector off his trail. To do this, they post on the game thread that they are doing this action. I will then post on their Confessional page the card they have drawn. If the character is still alive, they will discard their current identity and I will reveal on the game thread that that character is now deceased. The new card is their new secret identity. If the suspect is deceased, nothing happens and they retains their old identity. Their turn is over either way.
EXONERATE ACTION
The Inspector draws one card from the Evidence Deck into their evidence hand. They will be informed through their Confessional page that card. They must then choose one of their 4 evidence cards in their hand and post on the game thread a character to declare their innocence. The character will then be marked with an "I" besides them to indicate their innocence.
After Exonerating, the Inspector’s turn is over, and they should have 3 cards in their evidence hand.
OTHER RULES
If the Evidence Deck is exhausted, the Disguise and Exonerate actions are no longer available.
If an entire row or column of suspects are deceased, that row or column is removed, and the board shrinks.
If 16 characters are deceased at any time, the game ends and the Killer wins.
There are also 3 special items.
1) DECIDE A ROLE - The player with this item will get the opportunity to decide if they want to be the Killer or the Inspector.
2) SHIFT ADDITIONAL - The player with this item gets to shift twice for that round instead of once if they decide to use the Shift option.
3) HIDE CARD - The player with this item won't need to reveal their discarded card if they use the Disguise or Exonerate action.
The "Decide a Role" item is given to Tomcat by Lukas, the "Shift Additional" is given to Tomcat by Adam and the "Hide card" item is given to Nyx automatically for having more garnets.
I now need the two of you to either decide on a time or if not, we will do it non-live again. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask me.
