like it removes half of the game. The point of love letter is more often than not to convince people it's less optimal to target you in specfic situations as opposed to another player.
I don't get why public statements like this are being disallowed?

You all are not supposed to reveal the cards of the others. That's the reason why you all are locked out of your rooms. I'm voiding this round but the next time someone reveals, the round will end and the other people will automatically get a token. The rules do clearly say to not reveal a card to other players. They already plainly say that, and Nyx did anyway. So... and then you did the same, so... wanna just call this game and go to a death match right now so I can give you third place?

I'm sorry it's ridiculous to you but it seems a lot of thing is ridiculous to here. The reason I'm putting this rule is to avoid a 2 against 1 scenario, which I would thought you would have appreciated. Or unless you are thinking again I'm conspiring against you again.
But anyway, the round is voided and new cards will be given to all.

I did it to show how it could go both ways, but I've since deleted it.

The concept of 4 tokens of affection required to win is what allows for the 2v1 to not exist. BEcause once someone gets 2 tokens other players are incentivized not to let them win further rounds.

Since Pete is not around, I will give a chance for Nyx to delete her post.

I mean if that's the ruling I'll abide by it?

Thanks to the both of you. This round will stand. I'm sure all of you don't have to resort to telling people's cards to win the game. There are other strategies to still block someone.
It's still Pete's turn so we will wait for him to post.

Nyx,
I'm not automatically going to the Death Match. I like this challenge. All 3 people here are deserving and great at challenges - and Bandage Man has surely spent a lot of time adapting these challenges to work online. So, I'm playing the entire challenge. If I lose, I lose. So be it.
Even this round, you now potentially have the knowledge to eliminate me. So chin up and play the game, please.

That being said, I think there's a lot of this game is meant to be bluffing and information trading, and thus lies and deception. Brokering, if you will. I'm not entirely sure I understand why that area of the game is being removed in favour of what seems to me a lot like an "educated guessing" game.

I mean, you have to understand that my position is one where I've basically already accepted I'm going to the death match this round? Like, could I win a round, even 2? maybe. But 4 rounds before anyone else would require me to run good for quite a while. Or for this game to allow for deal making and breaking. So like, what I said is mostly true. You two can either both spend all your time targeting cards at me, regardless of scores, and let me choose my opponent, or you can think about targeting each other, with the knowledge that only one of you can ever be safe this round.

This challenge mainly comes from the online game that I've played and I've never played it live. Even when I'm online, we all have always played it straight and there were no talk about cards among the players.
This game was supposed to be mainly u gathering information based on cards discarded by the other players and using your cards' abilities to either know your opponent's cards or get an idea through elimination.
So just for this challenge, I prefer it to be played straight out and be done that way.
Thanks though for highlighting it, Nyx.

So just for this challenge, I prefer it to be played straight out and be done that way. Thanks though for highlighting it, Nyx. I'm a big fan of the game, and I've played a 1000 rounds of it or so, given it's speed. One of the biggest factors of the game when I play is the ability to do 3 things. 1) Convince other people to target someone that isn't you (often arguing that it's in a mutual interest due to the way the cards are) 2) Lie about what card you have or sometimes what cards other people have to allow for specfic people to misplay 3) Use the abilities and information gathering as bargaining chips as opposed to a strict logic puzzle. I also play this game a lot while drunk mind you, so. I understand the conceptualization that you want it to sort of be played without the social deception element (I'm fond of saying that every board game is a social deception game) but I'm not entirely sure it works the way you're hoping it will. Regardless, I've registered my concerns and complaints and I'm more than willing to play it out, even though it feels a bit like an exercise in futility for me.
