Ohhhhh... crap. Ha! I'll still give you something if you can't get some chips out of her.
And yeah, in this match, the winning candidate's chips convert to garnets. But you can give garnets to people at any time. So just need to wait for the match to be over and I'll give you something. Pete is still in the running, though - doesn't look like he'll be signing on. So try to get chips from her in exchange for voting for her rather than Pete.

Thanks! That'd be awesome. Ok I'll run that by her. Votes are due in less than an hour. This game sure is interesting.

This particular challenge isn't one of my favorites, tbh, but it's a simple introductory challenge, I think, that gets everyone to talk. There was a challenge in the last game where we were all assigned animals within a food chain, but we didn't know which animal everyone was, and we had to eat x number of times or not be eaten (depending on our animal). But there was also a snake who killed anyone who tried to eat them, etc... And some that mimic board games and card games, etc...

Omg that sounds so fun. I'd love a card or board type of game.

Now I'm being ignored by Nyx again.

Ha, really? Nyx can come on pretty strong, but I'm not sure how much I trust her, tbh. I just posted that it's now her vs. Pete, set in stone - so that should light a fire under her to respond to you and give you chips.
The other option is to just vote for Pete, he gets a lot of garnets, and would probably be willing to dish them out after the match - might get more that way, but there are no guarantees. She does need to votes, which she seems to be forgetting.

Very true...
I'll ask her again. Deadline is fast approaching!

I just messaged her and pointed out her current dilemma... there are already 2 votes for Pete, so she needs to get the votes of the 2 people who voted for me and the 1 person who voted for Adam... or at least 2 of those 3. Hopefully she understands that and is more receptive now.

She offered me two. At this point I don't even know if that's worth anything. At least it's something and I'll be on her good side.

2 is good this early in the game. You start with 1 garnet, so you'll have 3 total. They don't really even become relevant until a few rounds in, when there are challenges you can use them to buy advantages, so still have time to build up more.
There's a trickiness to garnets... When playing the Death Match, the player with the most garnets gets to start/first pick, which can be an advantage. But it also means if someone is garnet hungry, they might challenge you for having the most garnets, so they can take your garnets if they win. So, it's generally a good idea to have more garnets than *most* people in the game, but to not have so many that you become a target just for that reason. But this early in the game, with a couple inactives, they're not likely to factor in at all.

Oh that's cool. Makes sense. I like the ability to use the garnets for challenge advantages. That's pretty cool. Thanks btw for explaining this stuff to me.

No worries. It's a fun game, really. I played first season - took a couple rounds to get the hang of it.

Hey. Wanted you to know that when we were voting, NO ONE suggested you. The discussion was about whether we should nominate Sam or Tara for the Death Match. We chose Sam because she has the fewest posts, and the hope was she wouldn't even show up, and would just forfeit.
The original plan Round 1 was to win it with as few moves/with as few people being fired as possible. Unfortunately as Prince Kim, your fate depended on President Kim winning, which meant a lot more people would've needed to be fired to reach that quota. So it was basically that President Kim and Prince Kim would lose, Tara's character would lose (because me winning depended on her losing, and because we had the 2 highest salaries of people who could be fired, which Adam needed for his quota to win by firing as few people as possible), and everyone else would be fine. You being in the losers bracket was kind of an unfortunate twist to that.
Even if Sam does challenge you to the Death Match, I'll gladly help you beat her, and I'm sure some others would help you, too (Adam, etc...). So don't worry too much.

Oh, just actually read the thread. Sam chose Tara - you're safe!
