I will have very limited internet and phone access, so I won't be able to really help with long strategy sessions. If you guys can work together and win the next match, go for it. I'll take my chances at the death match if need be.

No worries. We'll try to keep you away from the Death Match. Enjoy what's hopefully a trip/a good reason for limited access!

Any thoughts on this one? I remember watching this main match on the show, and there was so much going on that it was hard to keep track...more often than not, it was just a mess lol

It sounds like it will be a mess. It depends on who has what ability. I haven't watched this episode, but I'll check it out this evening. A lot will be down to what happens after the draft.

OK, I thought I'd copy and paste all the different abilities on here, saves going back and forth.
1) Gravity – If you discard one move card and skip a turn, you may pick a player ahead of you and drag them to the space right in front of you or one space behind you if they are behind you. ADAM 2) Push – Push can't be in the same space with other characters. If you are in the same space with other characters, you must choose to push them either 1 space forward or backward. RACHAEL 3) Delete – When Delete is moved by another character's ability, you will pick a player and check their "Move' cards before getting rid of all except 1 PETE 4) Mirror – When Mirror is moved by another character's ability, you will pick a player to move the same amount in the opposite direction. MISTY 5) Copy – Whenever your character is reset, you will pick a player and copy their ability. You will use this ability until your next reset. LUKAS 6) Reset – Whenever your piece moves backward, you will pick another player and reset their move cards. NYX 7) Silence – Before submitting a move card for your turn, you will pick a player and disable their turn until Silence's next turn. TOMCAT

It seems to me that Delete and Push can work together. If Delete can be moved by Push every round, then Delete has the ability to make 2 other players (alternately) have the "1" and "4" move as their only card, thus making sure they finish first and last. Hope that makes sense.

Do I need to vote a certain way?

Agreed. Makes sense, Pete. Likewise, copy can pick one and help both hinder and help another player by stealing them each round. Mirror would also work with Delete and Push - Delete could alternate, every other round, furthering and hindering Mirror. In turn, Mirror can keep someone pretty stationary. Copy can mimic Delete if Delete isn't available. Etc...
A lot depends on the draft, though. But really, a lot of players have a symbiotic relationship. See what's chosen first then figure out that symbiosis. But getting Delete, Push, and Copy would probably be ideal (Delete and Push working in tandem, and Copy filling in any gaps).
Adam - I don't think it matters. I picked Nyx, as I'm guessing Rachael and Misty will. But whoever is last, it's a matter of who they pick to be 6th. ie: we could put Rachael last as a pawn, but then she loses all benefit as a helpful pawn, and she'd probably pick Nyx to be 6th, anyway.

Nevermind. I just read the MM thread. It's Nyx. No surprise.

Any ideas who I should pick for 5th?

6) Reset – Whenever your piece moves backward, you will pick another player and reset their move cards. 7) Silence – Before submitting a move card for your turn, you will pick a player and disable their turn until Silence's next turn.
Any ideas? My thought: Reset could work with Gravity and Mirror. For example, if Adam keeps alternating skipping turns, I could keep resetting his move cards, so when he does move, he could always move the same number of spaces (ie: if everyone else is moving an average of 3 spaces every 2 turns, I could keep resetting it so he can always move 3, every other turn). He could keep dragging me along. I could alternate doing the same for Misty, who could undo anything others do to us. Meanwhile, Pete could keep working with Rachael.
Silence has the potential of helping or hindering once someone is already in the lead or in last, but seems more difficult to really coordinate with anyone each round, given the unpredictability of how other players may move them.
Thoughts?

with reset, you're dependent on your piece actually moving backwards to use your ability...whereas with silence, you can use it every round. It's gonna be tricky...I think it may also take a while for this match to end lol

Ugh, I have too many boards. Lolz. Sorry for flaking most of the week - family stuff, been doing the bear minimum of IMDb duties. Is there a strategy here, or just move and hope for the best?
